Welcome to the UGA Healthy Dawg Blog!

We want you to be educated and cared for in all areas of health –  emotional, intellectual, physical, environmental, social, and spiritual. It’s actually the University Health Center’s mission.

And it’s what this blog is here for! We’ll be posting helpful hints, educational insights, and stories from our healthcare teams and the students they are here to help. But first, here’s a little bit of basic information about the University Health Center:

  1. We’re located on campus at the corner of East Campus and College Station Road, across the street from the Ramsey Recreational Center. We’re on several bus routes and have a parking lot adjacent to our entrance off Carlton Street that offers FREE parking for patients and visitors. It’s convenient to come by!28753-012
  2.  All UGA students are assigned to their own primary care provider (a physician, physician assistant or nurse practitioner) and a medical team that is designated by color – Blue, Gold, Green or Red.  Click here to log in using your UGA ID and find out who you’re assigned to.  We hope you love your provider, but if for any reason you’d like to change your assignment, you can do that at the patient registration desk. 29022-229.jpg
  3. Patients are seen by appointment, usually the same day an appointment is made. You can make appointments online, by phone, or in person by visiting our registration desk. Urgent care is available on Sundays from 10am – 5pm without an appointment. #HealthyDawg Hint: Be sure to bring your UGA ID card and insurance card (if you have one) to your appointment!IMG_5225
  4. Explore our website to learn about all of the great services available to students, faculty and staff at UGA. UHC has a Dental Clinic, Vision Clinic, Physical Therapy Department, a full service Pharmacy, even Massage Therapy – and that’s just the start! Another #HealthyDawg Hint: Keep up with us on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) for information on special offers and events throughout the year! IMG_4335
